overview

ftpx is a crawler for ftpservers which means it recursivly downloads the file listings. It does so by using pythons asyncore module which allows it to handle several hundred connnections to different ftp servers at the same time. On a 333 Mhz Powerbook it can do 300 connections and satuate a 2 MBit internet link without a big impact on system Preformance.

status

ftpx undergoes heavy development and is considered non feature complete (alpha).
